After couple of days thinking about the process of how to shoot this campaign I decided to shoot the whole group of kids over apple boxes and then on post production we remove them. We contact Iancarlo Reyes the master of the retouching for this job we had couple of sketches back and forward with the creative team here you can see the whole process on the making of.

I’m a Fashion/Advertising/portrait photographer

Please list any major achievements you’ve had thus far in your role with your current company

I have Worked with big ad agencies like Young & Rubicam(Madrid), JWT, SSP3/LOWE, Accent Marketing, Zubi Advertising etc. and with Major Record labels like Universal Music, EMI, Sony BMG Music Entertainment France and their artists (Wizin & Yandel, Luis fonsi, Olga tañon, DLG, David Guetta, Cristian Castro, Alejandro Sans, RBD, Calle 13, Daddy Yankee, etc) Also one of my favorite projects I recently did, was the Victoria Secret show back stage editorial for Glamour Magazine Latinoamerica.

What is the biggest challenge you had when you transitioned into your role?

For me the biggest challenge was to get the clients that I’m working with right now, to know my work and trust my skills! The challenge still here.. and it is a work in progress; I keep working on it..

What do you like to do in your spare time? Personal hobbies?

I paint since I was a child, it is one of my favorite hobbies, as well as cooking! Besides those two hobbies I love to research about photographers and new artists.

What is a typical work week day like for you?

It is very random, sometimes I have 2 or 3 photoshoots during a wee,k so all week I’m doing preproduction with my manager Angela Rubio and after every shoot all the post production.. so a normal day for me is shooting from 9 am until 6 pm and then going to the studio to edit all the photos.

What is your favorite part of the job?

I get to meet and know a lot of people and places every single day.. and that I love what I do.. for me thats priceless.. also that you can travel and work anywhere in the world.! This is an ageless profession, I could do this while I have the eyes and the passion for it! What are your immediate goals for the future? Be happy, as long as you’re happy you can get whatever you want with what you do!!

What did you dream of doing as a child? How did this passion translate into your current role?

Becoming a photographer was never a childhood dream. My dream was more to become a painter; actually more like an artist. And I end ended up doing photography .. anyway my profession is very related to that child dream! I’m actually an Imagemaker!

As a young professional, what advice do you have to other young professionals looking to follow in your tracks?

The most important advice … Dream and Follow your dreams…. everything is possible… the only mission is to find the way to get whatever you want to achieve.

What types of people do you most admire? What qualities do they possess?

Creative people… I admire people that constantly are in the process of creation people that can inspire me to create as well! Please list any professional organizations and/or volunteer/philanthropic organizations you are involved with. I have colaborated with a few, but I can’t list any at the moment.

What are your favorite places to frequent in and around the Brickell area to conduct business meetings or network?

There is a lot of good places like Novecento & Rosa Mexicana but my favorites is Atrio at the Conrad hotel it has a great food as well as a great view!

For me the most important is that every single client is happy with the work that I do.

Tell us about your family. How did the values they taught you get you to where you are? What did they do professionally? Where are they from?

I’m from this little town called Copacabana is located next to Medellin Colombia, all my family is original from this town .. and I would say that all what I am right now is because my parents..! They always support me with all my hobbies (painting, sculpture, music etc) they taught me to keep myself always busy and create.

What is your favorite part of working in the Brickell/Downtown area?

Most of my Miami clients are based around brickell area so is easy for them and for me to meet and work around the area. besides the great locations to shoot around brickell / downtonwn area..!

Tell us one memorable instance that happened to you while at work.

One of my first photo shoots at the beginning of my career .. I was using my friends camera… and I was shooting this beautiful model laying down on a bed .. I was kind of nervous .. I was trying to find the angle I stepped back and I lost my balance and the camera fell to the ground …. I was about to cry… hahahaa! I had to pay the camera to my friend .. that was the first camera that I bought! Please add anything else you feel would be relevant to the article.
